meade uwa ep

HOw do i remove the external part of the ep? It may look pretty but it doesnt do alot, and it just adds weight.

ive seen in the past one of these witht stripped to tthe min body, ie just the lens section and minus the screw up bits.

Would this operation be a one way ticket?

A search on the Cloudynights website should turn up a suitable thread. I stumbled across a number of thread when i first got the Meade.

I was initially tempted but those that had done it reported problems with eye placement without the body in place.

I also looked at this, but decided against it. I'm not really that sure on the saving to be honest. But as Russ has said, its all on CN
