Power Tank alternatives - Celestron 6se

I've heard the power tanks don't last and havee had a few recc

I'll be buying the ac adapter, but just looking for the best and safest option as far as a power tank alternative.

Some have said the Maplins 5 in 1 jumpstarter

Others just rig up a 17AH 12V battery

I was just thinking about using my cigarette dc adapter that i use in my car for cell phone and laptop charging...

Any other ideas or which one is best?

Hi, the Maplins is a better cheap option to the main dealer supplied power packs but long term it may be better to go for a more substantial battery. you may find this thread useful.

I've been using the same 20Ah gel cell batteries for over five years now with no problems. They last forever if properly looked after and charged with an electronic triple stage charger. IMHO a far better way to go than the glitzy powerpack.
