Basic Overview

  • ISO 3200
  • 12x120s Lights
  • 10x120s Darks
  • Location: Lincoln, England - Light Pollution 5-6.
  • Meade LX90 8" / Orion SkyGlow Filter / Nikon D300 (un-modded) / Unguided

Decided to give this object a second go, I am certainly looking forward to getting some guiding gear, but honestly I spent very little time setting up this evening as I just wanted to relax and not focus too hard on the technicalities.

I shot 65 frames, however the lack of guiding is causing drift in my frame, in two hours the nebula had moved about 1/3 of the viewfinder.

M27 is becoming a firm favourite of mine, its easy to observe and very easy to frame in my camera as it shows up clearly in the viewfinder.
