What is the best way to attach a new finder to my celestron 130eq as the one it comes with is useless, and dont fancy my chances with a drill on the tube.

The Telrad and Rigel Quikfinders attach with (very) sticky pads - no drilling required !

Telrad-and you can put it on your next scope-mine moved from 130EQ to 200p Dob,and I couldn't be without it.

I just bought a Tal 6x30 Finder, only to realise it doesn't fit into the finderscope bracket. Oh the joys...

i drilled my 150mm refractor ota tube due to fitting a crayford focuser as i mounted an orion 9x50 r/a finder, it went very well, dont be afraid to do this, just use common sense and take a little time

I fixed my Telrad with a large cable tie - it holds it perfectly in position
