Help with BIAS frames

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

After reading Making Every Photon Counts i have taken a number of Short Exposure shots to create a re-usable BIAS master frame.

They all look pitch black and when i try to stack them it always fails, any ideas what i am doing wrong? i have tried using Maximm & Deep Sky Stacker.

With Maxim you don't need to stack them as you would your lights. Use the calibration set up tool, tell Maxim the folder your bias frames are in and it will combine them for you.

Just click the "replace with masters" button and Maxim will generate the master bias.

I see,

Do i not get an outputted master file?, i went through the calibration but nothing seems to happen.
