Went out at dawn yesterday to try and image the planetary conjunction. Didn't see any planets (partial cloud cover so may have been hiding behind the clouds!).

Saw a lovely sunrise though and, at the antisolar point, what I believe is the Heiligenschein or "Holy light". It's possible some of the brightening may also be due to the "opposition effect".

Hopefully, someone out there in SGL-land who is more expert at atmospheric optics can confirm.

Portrait image shows heiligenschein around my shadow, the landscape shot shows the light around the camera on a tripod.

For interest, the big buildings in the background are the old airship hangars at Cardington, which housed the R-101, amongst others, in the heyday of airships.
