Hi all,

I currently use an astrozap dew shield on my EQ mounted scope, which works great. I now have a dob on order - can you use them on the end of a dob or will the extra weight just unbalance it? thanks

I have an Astro Engineering shield fitted to my 200P dob. No balance issues at all

I use one on my dob and it will add to collective weight of Ep's, telrad and finder but TBH you will find you want some sort of counter balance system anyway. I have a home made camping mat job on my dob. No problems either...

Thanks for your replies. If I take the dob to kielder a dew shield is going to be essential.
