how to find my location on the goto?

Hi peep. Another noob question here. Iv orderd a celestron 127 slt with this alignment to a star or 2 but I think it needs my location/ codinates? Where/how can I find this?

On my Celestron 127 I was able to enter the city to show my co-ordinates. It's in the set-up of the hand-set iirc.

You can get your lon/lat corordinates from google earth, works ok with my SW goto

Hi Andy,

Have a go with this: Latitude and Longitude of a Point

Put in your postcode to get close, then drag the marker to your actual house. Then you can read off (below the map) your lat/long as both Decimal Degrees (DDD.ddd) or Degrees/Minutes/Seconds (D/M/S) depending on what your goto system requires.

I've done this then printed a smal label (using a label printer) and stuck it on the back of my handset.
