M53 My first DSO

M53 Skywatcher M130 using 25 mm eyepiece

This took several attempts moving an hour west of Arcturus, then dropping a degree down... Very tricky using my EQ2 setting circles, but on about my 7th or 8th attempt...a patch of grey fuzz. The longer I looked the better it looked. Drew a quick sketch of the view and confirmed as M53 on Stellarium.

This could become a habit!

Good job!!! I tried and tried, to the point of frustration and the uttering of small expletives escaping my lips, to find it the other night. I can't wait to find it.
