How many Messiers from 51' Latitude?

This may be a silly question, but how many of the Messiers objects will be visible over the course of a year at a latitude of 51' ? Thanks

Hey Bart the simple answer is 'lots'!!!

If you've not got it already take a look at Stellarium its free to download and will give you a great insight into what's out there and when.

All of them.

From 51N you can get to see down to declination 39S (actually a bit more due to refraction around the horizon). The southernmost messier is M7, which is 36S, so it will clear the horizon by a good three degrees. However, you will need a fairly clear southern horizon to get some of the lower ones (there are 7 below dec 30S).
