Lidl selling ironing seats

As an ex engineer I can say that they will take a very heavy weight, When I drilled the other two holes I realised that the metal was of good quality, heavy gauge and it is extremely steady. Frankly I don't know how the do it for the price. It must be a "lost leader" ( means to get you in the store when you could buy other things as well ) apart from the lack of very low seat settings I cannot see the difference between these and the Astro Stools sold at 15 x the price.

Looks like here in Southern France, home of sun :sunny: except for all of the last 8 weeks since I bought my scope , Lidl will start selling these seats here, for 16.99 euro. Here is a photo from their ad:

Looks like I'll be getting one. My wife will laugh as well, not knowing what I'm going to use it for. Since our cleaning lady doesn't even weigh 100 pounds, maybe we should hire a second cleaning lady to get full use out fo the chair????
