DIY scope

Hi all,

A friend of mine has a 215mm mirror which he wants to make a scope with. Could you suggest some good suppliers or websites to help him out? I assume he will need a mirror cell, secondary mirror, spider, focuser and materials for the dob base/tube.

Try Googling "Dobsonian drawings" - there are lots around - mainly easy to make from a sheet or two of plywood. As for mirrors - try Galvoptics. (usual disclaimer). Focussers - go for second hand as there are many folk who have upgraded and have a focusser spare - or if you are rich buy a new one from FLO!!
