thanks not used stellarium for a while will reload it

hi just wondered if there was anything that told you when neowise was visible and can it be seen with the naked eye?
-
thanks michael,if i unscrew the adapter the guide camera is still bottomed out on the oag stalk so its still the same location really
-
well after fitting my reducer to my imaging train in another topic ,i tried tonight to reset up the system, now i focused the main ccd but then could not focus the oag(although the oag camera was at the bottom of the oag) ,i had to move the focuser in by about 12mm to focus the oag, which then meant the main ccd could not be focused, any ideas guys, its like the oag could do with moving to the other side of the reducer then the oag camera adjusted well out

hi guys just wondered what to look for when setting back distance up on an imaging train ,is it the sharpness of the focus?
-
-
the reducer states it needs 55/56mm back focus from the shoulder of the reducer to ccd ,my 414ex has 13.5 to ccd so that only leaves 42.5mm for the filter wheel and oag???? any ideas guys

hi all when i purchased my ts optics some time ago it came with the following reducer
im using the scope with the set up below, the 414ex , filter wheel and oag then straight into the scope ,its never been installed and just wondered if it was worth adding to the train and the difference it would make to imaging time (if i can find out how and where to fit it in the imaging train)
well decided i was going to try and fit so can anyone tell me where it goes and what are the important measurements thanks photo added

What band width do you have? e.g. 3nm will be better than 5nm.
7nm and 8.5

Hi not been able to try my filters yet but just wondered how these filters performed with strong moon and no astrodarkness cheers

I was going to say M27, as that's very strong in [OIII] but it needs a longer FL.
should just be ok with this for fl

thanks steve

hi just ordered a oiii filter to go along with my ha ,just wondered if anyone could recommend me some targets specifically for these two filters thanks

It's best to keep to the same brand of filters, and get the smallest nm bandwidth you can afford. I would not recommend getting anything like 35nm. I use Baader Ha 7nm, Oiii 8.5nm and Sii 8nm. I also purchased a Baader 3.5nm Ha but am waiting for the Oiii 3nm to become available - 3nm are much more expensive.
The minimum you would need initially is an Oiii filter as you can do bicolour on a lot of targets, like the Veil for instance. You can get the Sii later if budget dictates, so you can then do Hubble palette.

Thanks I think my ha IS A BAADER 7nm in the wheel at the minute just looking at a oiii filter one is explorer scientificand one zwo at 7nm any prefs cheers
Or baader at 8.5
