Jupiter and a Medici satellite, on the right in the image. The Medicean Europe is immediately behind the edge, ready to appear on the left edge in the image, and not yet visible. Here a larger ROI was defined that also included the satellite. I only use two software and for the processing I do everything with AstroSurface. In my relatively short experience in planetary imaging, I have found that the use of more software (PIPP, Registax, etc etc) tends to give worse results. My advice is to use as little software as possible during the processing phase. During shooting, however, I find it convenient to use the simple AsiStudio. 05.10.2023, 01.14 am C8edgeHD, ADC, Ap 1.8x, ASi224MC AsiStudio, AstroSurface

An interesting comparison between my C8edgeHD (a successful example) and a C11A XLT 15 minutes apart during the same night. Shooting setup: ZWO ADC, AP 1.8x, ASI224MC, IR/UV Cut TS The processing was done more or less similar with AstroSurface I specify that this is a particularly successful C8 edgeh HD. The C8 suffers less from seeing conditions and offers slightly better sharpness and contrast. It suffers less even from a minimum of misalignment

suggestions from experts for my doubts?

I'm really anxious whether to keep this C8EdgeHD or hope that a Mewlon 210 will be a big leap, both in visual and imaging, for its quality. I'm really doubtful

Hi Master in imaging the diameter matters, no ifs or buts C8EdgeHD it soundly beat the Mewlon180C in imaging. I very rarely manage to use the C11 effectively in my site, in fact I will sell it. I only had the VMC260 for a few days, but it didn't convince me. At the moment I am leaning towards staying with an 8" for everyday imaging. This C8EdgeHD is excellent, but I would like to try some other solution that can offer me greater image sharpness. I would like to point out that I am self-taught in imaging and that I shoot unique movies (no RGB, no derotations etc). I still have to try compared to the C8EdgeHD (I repeat this example which is particularly successful and I have had 2): - VMC200L but I doubt it can offer more than the c8 due to the greater obstruction. I would still like to try it though - Mewl210. Here the price holds me back in case I find out that in imaging it will be (As I think) very close to my current c8 - Newton 200 f6 handcrafted, quality and low-obstruction product
