Have you look in the manual ? Don't waste your time I just looked there is nothing about factory reset , I did read on an old thread  about power the mount up in the dark then change angle your looking at display and you should see the display lettering very dim but should worth a try 

No you should not if you showed it working that's all that you need to do , what about getting him to bring it back so you can reflash it ??

Yes they are real easy to find 

That what I thought which is why it's strange not to focus , I will keep trying  ,  I have two focuser I use built in one first and if image jumps I fine tune with crayford 

Ok thanks for that I will give it another go , if it still won't focus I will photo the set up then you may see what's  wrong 

The filter on the 8 inch newt works and it focuses easy within 10mm  that why I was hoping it would work on the Mak

Hi well I tried it and could not focus ? , I popped in a extension then you could just make out a Sun spot but still would not focus , I know it was not bad seeing as my HA telescope was focused ok , so do I need more extensions ?

Hi if you have the Samsung galaxy when in camera mode swipe to the right and it comes up with pro settings also go in to camera settings and you can turn on voice control so to take a pic just say shoot

This is an update just in case someone wants to know yes the stellalyra eyepiece is fully baffled the same as Tele vue and DayStar 

Hi I have looking for the DayStar 25mm to use with my solar scout but can't get one in UK , DayStar say to use Tele vue 25mm , but chatting to Alex at FLO he said the DayStar and StellaLyra 25mm 1.25 is made at same factory so should be the same spec they do reads the same , has any one used this eyepiece ? Does it have the baffled the same as the DayStar and tele vue eyepiece

Hi I was lucky enough to get the HEQ5PRO and a UK Orion optics 200/1200 for £600 I have never looked back does everything I ask it to do 

FLO check all the daystar units so you know it's ok I got my solarscout from them and it's spot on 

I did my 8 inch years back has a few wrinkles but it does not affect how it works

My toys 127 refractor ready for tonight . Solarscout working right now I am not sure about the micro usb wearing so am using magnetic right angle lead so I don't have to keep pulling lead out 

Hi I noticed the same the sun is amazing I wondered if it had anything to do with magnetic fields from the sun holding the prom together so it can't dissipate so quickly
