Thank you 😊.. I'm please with the shot especially as Its only 6 hours of subs .. ..
I didn't want to just label it as Melotte 15 as it wasn't a close up ..😉
just posted a B&W version and remained that though

"I find it helps to have as long a dovetail as possible" ANNE S ----- I couldnt agree more .. especially when i set up my Edge .. as it is rear heavy with the focuser

Hi , I do exactly as per the videos .. then you should be able to disengage both clutched and set the scope anywhere and it stays there .. however if mine wanders slightly i don`t bother too much ..

If you check out this guys Youtube channel he has a couple of videos on balancing .. it might just be worth a look .
i am probably not as pernickety as I should be with my balancing , I tend to get it near enough , and I seem to get good total RMS of 0.12 - 0.15 consistently..
here's some pics of my modified mount ..
hope this helps ...

Have a look at this YouTube video , I don't think your balancing the scope correctly .. .. IMHO
I removed the polar scope on my mount and run my cables up the middle I also removed the USB sockets which are useless and replaced with power supply sockets..

Hi Carole , have a look at Sara Wagers Version , it has the green and Blue .. which I really like ..
your version has no green and my version has no blue 😂. All a matter of taste at the end of the day ..
im glad you like the image though 😁, it means a lot 😊

Thanks Carole , your too kind 😉.. yes please have a fiddle .. I have been messing with it for days , and had enough 😤
I used Sara Wager's version as inspiration , it too has some green but much more blue , but then she has got 56 hours integration time .. 😂... I wish .....

Thank you .. I looked at Sara's wide version , and tried to match the colours she obtained but without the SII filter ..

I took this image earlier this month and have been playing with the data , which isn't the best due to high cloud that caused me to loose guiding a few times ..
still 6 hrs total integration time . Or is that (Waste of time ) Sorry 🤔
600 sec exposures with Ha and OIII 3nm filters in my QSI583
processed in APP , PS and LR
I hope to repeat this target as soon as the clouds permit .. ... ps don't enlarge 😁

Had a couple of good nights here in sunny Essex over the long weekend and I decided as this target was optimal in the night sky for me .
my last attempt at his target made me change my direction from OSC to Mono .. as I wanted that whispy gassy look that I seemed unable to attain , though that might have just been me ... anyway this image was taken with my QSI583 with Ha and OIII 3nm filters , and a total integration time of just 4 hrs ..
processed with APP ,PS and LR .. The Hubble pallet version prosessed OIII,Ha,OIII - and the second image. Ha ,Synthetic Green ,OIII

Hi Alan , I believe it's also known as Sharpless 101. SH2-101 in Cygnus
i haven't tried with a modded Camera , but I'm sure you will get something .. Im sure i have listed a star number , and it should have been HD226868 I believe the nebula is Sh2-101 so I have renamed the pic ..

Hi Stuart , thanks for your comment.. 👍
I don't believe there are flat field issues as there's no elongated stars in these areas , on wider views if this Nebula it does get lighter .. check out Sara's https://www.swagastro.com/sh2-132.html
thats my excuse anyway 😂

I have already posted my colour version of this target , but I like the B&W version so I thought i would post .. I have re named this version Melotte 15 as it does seem to draw your attention to that area . and yes ...... I added a few stars 👍
26 x 600 sec Ha subs
10 X 600 sec OIII subs . using Chroma 3nm filters ..
processed in APP ,PS & LR
