People buy them and then can't see a thing.

And if they finally see the Moon, the darn mount is too shaky.

A solar PST 40mm telescope!!!

I'm pumped waiting for it

I am suprised I found a vendor with one in stock

I have been wanting an HA scope for over ten years.

Received some Christmas money to help subsidize my purchase

I also looked for that new Lunt 40, but that thing is backordered for months.

The PST will be here in a week

So I am open to any tips 😃

My wife knows someone that uses the FB, sadly she has me try to deprogram him

That Christmas Star was supposed to be half the size of the full Moon.

Dear Santa,

Please bring me an HA solar scope.

Please bring into the house using the side door so Wifey doesn't notice.

One can enjoy themselves looking at the sky through just about any scope or binoculars, or even just the naked eye

Think of it this way, most folks have no idea that "star" is even a planet, let alone Saturn

I pretty much keep my focal reducer/corrector on my SCT all the time. 

You enjoy a wider field and a bit flatter.

I took it off for Mars, but I am too lazy to take it off for the other planets.

I never knew about the adapter plate LOL 

I did use a hacksaw, took just a few minutes. 

I feel bad for folks trying to enter the hobby.

There's slim pickings right now.

However, binoculars seem to be available, that's what I have been recommending to new folks.
