For me, I really enjoyed the Transit of Venus in 2012 lots of clouds, but I got some good views anyway The solar eclipse of 99 was pretty awesome 😎 had to drive an hour south for Totality, found a little park with a fair amount of friendly folks 🙂 Jeff

The OTA did not hit the mount. I have decided though to not put it back on there. I'm just going to use the 127 and the C90 on it for now.

Anyone with long term experience of using a C6 on a Porta Mount ll? I had mine on one last summer, but now it seems the mount has loose axises. I took the mount apart and think it will work fine if the clouds ever leave 😁 But I am concerned the C6 caused the issue in the first place -Jeff

I will have to watch!!! We are Hawkwind deprived here in the states I have had the privilege to see them three times. Then a few years ago Nik Turner played right here in Charlotte, NC! The best part... He needed a place to stay after the show!!! He went home with someone that lived closer, but I almost had Nik Turner sleeping on my couch!!! Jeff
