It is my single stack Lunt 80, thank you!
This is great, I always hear about how vital double stacking is and how great it is for imaging but to be honest I don't see anything that makes me want more out of your image. Yes DS does show more detail but if this is more or less what I can aspire to when I get my single stack 60 soon then I'm happy!.

Saw one of my fav sights in the entire sky! the trapezium in M42 may just be six stars (two very fain ones) and nothing to write home about but when seeing is good I cant tear my eyes away. In a 4" refractor E and F stars can be a challenge, last night seeing was good and both E,F, were as usual at the very threshold of my vision but they were unmistakable and steady. There's something so satisfying about stars under good seeing, the four main stars of the trapezium were absolute laser sharp discs, unwavering, a wonderful sight against an inky black background.

My memory is atrocious, last night I was relishing in a good session under the stars, had a great time splitting Theta Auriga but spent some time on it as I was unsure if there was a closer companion I was actually missing. As always I googled Theta Auriga split and found an entire thread on the subject right here on SGL! perfect! clicked on that only to find it was my own thread I started two years ago! On the exact same star, wondering the exact same thing. Anyway, I clicked on it and found I was very helpful in helping myself. I wish I had a friend like me!.

If you ever need spray foam insulation my brother is well known in the business, he’s been doing it forever, stuff is great in cold weather, keep a cabin warm with a candle 😂

Nor my sisters place in Mississauga , but there must be pockets of darkness near you.The SQM-L is valuable for finding these pockets between light domes.
When I do make a trip away from home, I'll go to Torrence Barrens dark sky preserve near Huntsville, I believe. A 1hr 45min drive from me, the skies there are great though I'm not sure what the exact bottle rating is.

Very interesting, I need to drag my scope out to your neck of the woods to try this, definitely not doable from this close to Toronto.

Welcome, and what an entrance! fantastic image, have a great time meeting new members and posting more images!

What I would like to do is use it as a guide, I will choose a particular constellation and make notes of objects within so when I'm out on a dark sky session I can chase down those same objects. For someone like me who hasn't seen most of these objects, this book will be my goto for those times when I can take my dob to darker skies.

Jeremy, please resist posting an image of kevin's book in flames with a scathing review when you discover the word "takahashi" did not appear anywhere. 🤣

I'll stick with the current 70 degrees, any larger and I get nausea as I feel like I'm falling into space 😂

Mono for Imaging Calcium-K?
in Imaging - Solar

Just wondering if a mono camera is as favoured for imaging In CaL-K as it is for H-alpha.
