Welcome back! and I can’t imagine how astro images can be offensive, somehow I feel the answer would anger me.

WOW! I greatly enjoyed that read, I was waiting for your first light with anticipation! it seems you have a superb specimen by your description of first star test on Betelgeuse. I'm happy for you and await your second first light report, I have a feeling we're in for some more gushing in the weeks ahead.

Bummer, it will clear up sooner or later, hopefully sooner.

😲 Not sure how I missed this update, does it encompass all the same doubles as in the first edition? I received my first edition recently, I would have waited for the second If I had noticed.

Nice image! funny how similar they are, you've got a corner of your house (top right) and the top of a neighbouring house just as in my image.

It is minus 12C out and a crystal clear sky, I couldn’t help but take a quick phone image to the southwest where Orion looms over my neighbors house. This represents roughly a quarter of the area of sky I can see from my back garden. What are your skies like? I’m sure those of you who live well outside populated areas must have wonderful skies.

You mean this? Couldn't resist a couple of accessories from SV while they were at it, and this Losmandy/Vixen handle-to-end-all-handles had my name all over it. I now need a suitable Vixen bar to put on top of the rings to allow it to work.
Yes indeed, as you say a very good bag. It came as part of the price of the scope, together with the rings.
You can see it here, sitting in front of my 12" Newt, which is itself in front of
my 16" Newthot water tank .That is a big handle! I assume it’s not meant to be left of the scope while observing, it seems to be a quick release handle.

Would you still talk to me if I found the Tak a new home and bought the SV?
He may speak to you but you may want to look over your shoulder for those men in black suits with dark glasses.

When does the handle arrive?
There seems to be a strange fixation with handles here on SGL, the topic pops up on threads here and there, I’m perplexed 😂 do we like them or not?

Wow, that is a fat frac! what is the FL on it? it seems to be of fairly short FL for its aperture (aware the dew shield is retracted) I would love to see it with dew shield pushed out. So looking forward to your first light report, I'm sure it will be killer.
You have a stunning view!
