If those dews were any longer, they would be in orbit.

Nothing yet.
Im waiting on a delivery today of one of these:
I figured it would heat my bedroom when its cold, instead of burning oil and heating the whole house. My housemate/friend John had one delivered last week for the same reason. They are extremely good.

Today I got a letter from a government department. The letter was sealed in a plastic package with a sticker saying it was damaged in transit. Just enough of it survived that I was able to see where it was from.
It looked like a very grumpy dog got its mouth on it. Most of it wasn't even in the package.

Today the "postman" brought a wireless mouse, mouse mat, office desk and a halogen heater.
All for my mate/lodger John.
Nothing for me.

A letter saying im due a retinopathy screening in Oct.
WOOHOO................
They usually do the screening in June/July but because of the heatwave and brightness of the Sun cancelled all screenings because the drops they put in your eyes make everything so much brighter and for health and safety reason they didnt want to have anyone driving home after or just being blinded by the Sun (more so than the average Summer).

If you have a blu-ray player or set top box or games console most allow you view Netflix in case you don’t have a smart TV.
I have all of the above: smart tv, XBOXONE console, smartphone, BR, set top box.
I can get Netflix on all of them now.
Hell, i was on a bus today and connected to the free wifi and watched a movie " The Assassin's Bodyguard"

Not the Postie, but I have just collected a new to me Solarquest mount from a seller in Bristol.
I was amazed as it rotated and pointed towards the sun despite quite a lot of cloud.
Really looking forward to using this mount and will post some images when I get home.
Roll on a fortnight of clouds I expect.
Edit: Unexpectedly the clouds cleared so I've had a chance to play and am very impressed.
Ade
Hi Ade. May i ask a question about your new arrival?.
In this photo, i have circled part of the mount in red. It appears to be touching the mount and from the looks of it, allows the scope to point no higher up.
Can i assume that the mount is calibrated for Northern hemisphere solar observing during the height of summer (maximum Dec for the Sun in this part of the world)?

Im going to cancel my Sky digital+HD account. I'll keep the broadband service.
Im paying about 120 euros a month for TV, landline and fibre optic broadband.
I can do without TV and landline.

Worth every penny me thinks!! ? Wouldn't be without it now.
Why wait til Sunday. I just pulled the trigger on the Premium service...........14.99 euros a month.
Now im sat here wondering how i get it on my tv.
Phone and laptop i know i can sign in. How does the tv side of it work?.
-
It wont be the postman who brings it, but by Sunday i will have Netflix (the all inclusive deal for 10.99 a month). Im sick of friends talking about all the great stuff that ive never seen.
TV is rubbish (all 300+ channels).

I've been to Lanzarote a good few times, Sept, Christmas etc. Been to Costa Teguise once. Lovely resort, but nearly always cloudy at night. Bins are a safe bet. You might see the Moon.

For that money I'd expect a sedan chair, complete with minions to hold it at the right height for the scope ?
I can upgrade after 3 yrs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Sé range come with an AC mains plug?. You are right not to use AA batteries as they don't last long.
