Does anyone know if Squeaky is still a member of this forum? I wanted to get in touch with Richard, but his email address appears to no longer work, and the website isn't active either...
@squeaky hasn't logged on since March 2013 so it is reasonable to assume that they are no longer an active member of this forum.

Can't be certain, but it might be from a Kson mount

A diagonal is missing, possibly some sort of finder, maybe the handset ( I don't see one) and definitely the user manual, the telescope is mounted back to front.

So you might need a 5V to 12V-15V DC Converter.
Would this provide the minimum 2 amps required by the mount ?

Or power a suitable 12v psu.

Can you provide some dimensions? Tube diameter and length.

Probably the same as the Skywatcher Evostar 120, 1000mm.

The Aeromaster is (I suspect) a telescope of the Bird-jones design
No, the Astromaster 130 is a standard Newtonian reflector (130/650) and possibly has a spherical primary mirror, although more likely to be parabolic.

The "random angle" is about 45 degrees, which also will be about the angle the focuser is to the horizontal which is why the image in the eyepiece looks a bit scewed.

Interestingly, you ask this question today when sometime during the day the moon will pass between the Sun and Earth causing a solar eclipse and will be visible in North America.

Hello
I am trying to download the latest firmware for my az gti on my windows laptop, however I can’t open the MCF file to do this.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
Thank you
You don't "open" the firmware, it needs to be uploader to the mcb using the firmware uploader. Download the motor controller firmware uploader and use that to update the firmware.

Hi Jeff,
I know this thread is old, but I'm curious about whether you have compared your C9.25 EDGE with non-edge C9.25?
Mark
ABQJeff hasn't visited the forum since Aug 2022, I doubt you will get a reply any time soon......or ever.

I was wondering can I just grab ANY decent RJ45 to RS232 modem cable to operate and guide the mount from the laptop?
Probably not, the EQDir cable is more than a RJ45 to RS232 cable.
From the EQ-Mod website:
"In order to connect a PC/Laptop directly to the EQ mount a PROPRIETATRY interface device is required. This device is referred to as an EQDIRCT and is designed solely for use with Skywatcher mount. Standard "off the shelf" Connection must be made through such a device NEVER CONNECT DIRECLY YOUR PC DIRECTLY TO THE MOUNT. Please take utmost caution if using "off the shelf" serial/RS232 cables, the connectors on the mount, despite being familiar types are not standard RS232 or ethernet connections."

Not at 7 p.m. in the UK. I have 7:31 for my location in the middle of the UK, today. I think we need the OP's location, first.
The OP is in Tunisia, there was an ISS pass at around 18:55 local time.

Hello, today at 7pm i went outside and i saw a bright thing moving in the sky and at i first i thought it was a plane but when i zoomed in it looked like a bright round object like a star or something does anyone know what it is?
If the object was moving West to East you probably saw the International Space Station.
