Connecting Gigabit Optical Cable - Pot to Router

Success! I must say that just today I have downloaded TeamViewer since I couldn't get my previous 'solution' of VNC working. Seems to work like a charm, using the 9-digit ID... I didn't know you could use IP addresses at all. Anyway, a vast improvement for us both, then! -

Entering A Minus Value On Synscan
AKB replied to TheMarsman's topic in Getting Started Equipment Help and Advice
There are 60 arc minutes in a degree (and 60 arc seconds in an arc minute) so... 57.66 N = 57 degrees, 0.66*60 minutes = 40 minutes 4.34 W = 4 degrees, 0.34*60 minutes = 20 minutes ...forgetting the fractional minutes (which could be converted to seconds in the same way.) -

Gina's Mini Dome Observatory for Widefield Imaging Rig
AKB replied to Gina's topic in DIY Observatories
Actually, you could make this entirely mechanically driven (whilst not in use) by having a small wind-powered rotor like old-fashioned windmills. If it's not windy, it doesn't matter which direction it's facing... surely another 3D printer project? Got to be easier than a grandfather clock. -

...but it could be. What's wrong with your idea of two concentric half shells which rotate like that? I'm sure that sealing is always a challenge, but you're definitely up for that.
