  1. OK I've decided I'm saving up for a skywatcher explorer 150p eq3 GOTO, then "borrow" my dads nikkon d3200

Can I just buy the 150p and then change the focuser to the p-ds version? Or do I need to shorter tube length for DSLR imaging?

ive had the p version for nearly 2 years and how ever it has served me well, the pds versions are a next step ahead, im in love with it, you would need the shorter tube yes, and to gain focus with the p you have to use the x2 barlow which cuts the ammount of photons you collect in half and also your field of view in half, best decision ive made to upgrade to the pds tho :)

Ah fair enough, itll take an extra couple of weeks but I'll go for the 150p-ds eq-3 GOTO instead. Is there any extras I'll need (apart from the coma corrector)
