      Same here,Had my new scope for around 12 days and only had 20 mins of viewing time

  11. I wondered why my 8mm was dim, but good on M57. Eventually I realised; neb. filter still on.

      Is it to the the AWB Double Star Catalogue or just the AB Double Star Catalogue. AWB sounds better.

  14. Scuttled out for 45mins - saw 5 planets. Not well, but still, 5!

  19. Last night I finally fitted the Rigel, and got my finderscope to align through the judicious use of gaffer tape as a shim on the shoe.

  21. I've decided to call last night "Night of the Teapot". First good look at Sagittarius.
