  1. I continue to love my Heritage 130. I know it's not a 250 - but it still offers some satisfying views.

      I do. It's just, slowly, my 6" is beating it. It offers cleaner and brighter images and is at a sensible height without a table (AZ pier type mount). I compared them on the Moon, and the 6" won hands down.

      The main advantage with the 130P is portability though, the main downside is the focusser.

      Aye, I understand aperture fever. I think I'm thinking along the same lines as Alex - sometime upgrade to a 10" - a big jump. I agree, the focuser is the weak spot - that and the single secondary support.

      As it happens, I'll probably jump to a 10" then a 16" :). The single secondary support isn't really much of an issue - the secondary isn't heavy enough to warrant 4. Besides, more supports equals more diffraction spikes reducing the contrast ;).
