  2. hi dave good news all working now, the arduino ide programmer was set for arduino as isp i changed it to arduino isp and now it works what the difference is god knows but its alive
  3. tried it on 2 different computers saying same thing on both im stumped ,it was working fine i broke usb port on the arduino, just put new arduino in uploaded sketch now its not working wonder if its the arduino
  4. hi dave its windows that comes up with the error i did check with ascom diagnosis its says same thing
  5. hi dave trying to set up aaf2 on a new computer ,i downloaded everything uploaded sketch to new arduino nano(i broke the usb port doh) included one wre and dallas temp now i cant get aaf2 to work its saying input string was not in a correct format any ideas mark
  6. changed the last position to 50 set it up in poth & connected it works thanks guys mark ps user error i think
  7. well i have answered my own question there is a tick box in poth to say its absolute still not working tho and its still raining so i will test tomorrow
  8. from what i gather although havent tested yet as its lashing down here it thinks its a relative focuser ( which sgpro dosent support)not absolute now im sure its absolute can a tick box be added in the ascom driver to tell it its absolute mark

  10. hi dave deff yours mate aaf2, i will be in the obsy later so i will get the msg could be a sgpro problem tho
  11. hi dave been using this software must be for a couple of years now . will it work in sgpro or rather mine doesnt it throws an error something about 100000 steps not at obsy computer so cant say what it says properly mark
  12. they are kitchen laminate tiles ,water resistant click loc tiles,mine have been in the garden for a couple of yrs now seem ok
  13. i have been using some left over kitchen laminate flooring tiles in my garden ,seems fine they are textured tho and i havent fallen over yet
  14. i have the same mount i couldnt get phd2 to work same sort of graph ,went back to phd1 works perfectly, i can go 30 min subs mark

  17. tried it out last night works perfectly got the lowest fwhm ever considering it was windy , i just used the aaf2 program next is to try a autofocusing program thanks mark
  18. its now connected up to the williams z71 working great now just need a clear night mark

  20. ah that could be it i can hold it gently in my fingers and it turns ,half way through the 50 steps it starts to lose torque if i do a larger step say 500 right at the end it does the same thing so its just slowing down can this be changed in the sketch or is this like a safety feature mark loads of daft questions i know never done anything like this before
  21. power at the driver board is just under 9 volts so the power is there ,i tried another 5v motor just in case that one was duff same problem think i will order a 12v stepper motor from a different supplier
  22. its free running at the mo i tried a rubber band that didn't work
  23. it gets halfway through then it sounds like its stuttering if that makes sense

  25. its in a project box now and working the only thing is if i do small steps i.e. 50 the motor starts off ok then looses torque about half way through is this a problem if i do a goto say 500 steps loads of torque mark ps I'm just waiting on some belts ordered a couple different sizes just in case
