Anyone else feel like the equatorial wedge of the star adventurer is a weak point? I find that it flexes and moves quite a bit when I move my DSLR/Mak102 which can be annoying ?
Are you locking it and tightening all the adjusters, I find that a rough alignment, then almost completely tightening the lock lever then fine adjustment then fully locking and checking gives a pretty steady platform.

Good luck Louise, you certainly deserve it !

I've had similar problems with my WO ZS71 which I seem to have resolved by sitting the scope on the dew sheild and loosening the nylon screws that allow the focuser to rotate then using gravity to make the focuser sit straight gradually tighten the nylon screws until tight (a bit each time going round in a circle) may be worth a try if you have a similar set up on the TS

Any desk is a good one to try, I use it frequently at work when TeamViewer is blocked by customers I.T.

The tee shirt should be way out of focus ... strange

Trial and error ... It's a beautiful thing ?
Still a lovely image though !

It wasn't meant as a criticism, the tracking looks spot on ! I was just intrigued about which lens it was.

That's a beauty, what lens ? Lovely pin sharp in the middle but edge iffy ?

Gone to an awful lot of trouble for an April Fool joke - hardware, trek up the mountain for the video etc.

But yes, definitely wind up...
Cheers,
Peter.
Yep, pretty conclusive ! Hadn't seen that .

I do like the look of it ... It just seems so much like an April Fool though !
1st April launch date and it's Wind up

Sounds sensible, I guess half a dither is better than no dither .
-
Slightly off topic but will dithering only in RA be of any benefit ?

Nice set up but what’s the black thing in between the two mounts and the silver thing on top the small scope
Have you got a photo from the back please
Black thing is polar scope illuminator, silver thing is a autoguider.
I think ...

Very interesting !

Adjusting the RA and Dec axes tightness is really quite straightforward, no need to take anything apart (well, not too much!). I'd be happy to create a post on the subject if you're interested.
Please !

Nice, if you weigh the tripod down with something it won't move so easily ...
In theory !
