Yes, particularly when I forget some that I've owned !
I should probably put this thread in the scopes discussion area - I can leave a link here to it as well though. Is that OK ?
Yes please move it. 👍🏻

Inspired by the recent thread on showing your Alt-Az mounts decided to start this thread.
So as the title says lets see what your “Dob History” is including what you have now. 🙂
I’ve had 8”, 10” and 12” Skywatcher dobs. The 10” was a Flex Tube GOTO that I converted into a solid tube by getting hold of a newt solid tube.
Then there was a 16” Meade Lightbridge. Big and heavy and not the greatest mirror.
Replaced the Lightbridge with an OD350 with 1/10pv mirror. Much modified with a StellarCat drive and Argo Navis and mounted on a Scopebuggy.
Now have Bresser Messier 10” dob. Lovely scope and not too big. 👍🏻

Telescope Express makes adapters to order but not exactly cheap. ££££. Commercial machine shops do charge an arm and a leg.
If you can find a model engineer that might be a lot cheaper.

I looked at the Panther but something about it put me off. Glad I waited for the AZ100.

The ES is very nearly as good as the Powermate in most scopes. Maybe in a very fast scope the ES might be only 95% as good.
Had the ES 2” 2x but it was a big heavy lump though.. Opticstar does the same tele extender at a bit better price.

Some things they won’t ship to the UK but if they do it clearly shows that it can be shipped to the UK.
Have bought a number of little items from Amazon.com when I couldn’t find them here or they were cheaper.

Here you go. Amazon is cheaper than eBay as shipping is so much cheaper.

Crazy price if ordered from Amazon UK

A set of the end caps on eBay only £6.12 but £11.10 postage. Bit lower price if ordered from Amazon.com with shipping to UK.

Best thing for setting up a secondary properly is to get a Concentre. No other method comes close in accuracy and it is so easy to use. It’s a simple device but I wouldn’t be without one.

There are elliptical galaxies that aren’t flat but this will illustrate the different types.
