Tbh how much is involved and the chance of it all coming together when you drag your scope to give you the views we are promised are slim...I've had endless so so nights.

For ages I never bothered looking at M1 because of its constant disappointment. 

One session at SWSP it was incredible almost photographic!...so much detail with filaments galore!!!. Mind you that was the infamous 21E Vs Nag 31 night 😂

If a truss Dob is designed as a lightweight scope but still built with clever strengthening features you can get a lot of scope in a car.

Mapstars 22" truss Dob (seen here) fits into the back of an Audi A6.

I have one of John's mirrors...don't have any information on it....don't need any.

Experienced observers have looked at many objects with my scope , all say its excellent...Mapstar, swamp thing have mirrors that have been touched by the hand of John.

Daniel-K said it was one of the best hes used. No reports needed, john doesn't make bad mirrors and certainly wouldn't let one leave his workshop. Not only is he a great craftsman but also a gentleman.

Base layers and ski clothing ...worked for me when it was -35...

No worries mate...still a great time was had.

Back home for 6:30...my first Galloway and plenty more to come I hope .

I can see why it's been running so long,great site ,wonderful setting and fantastic group of people...made some new friends (I think!)...and good to catch up with old ones.
