  1. I keep looking at these, hmm candy apple red . If they had the brass dew shield I think they would tip me over the edge! Not cheap, but I do like that i'ts hand crafted and unique: http://skylight-telescopes.com/?page_id=314
  2. That's quite some white light setup you have there Rob, Very nice!
  3. Proper scopes Dave, all in good nick as well Don't forget to post a pic of your MoonRakered 80mm f/15, that's awesome as the kids say!
  4. +1 for wanting a little review of the Unitron when you're all sorted out Derek
  5. @DRT - ah! you won the bidding on the Unitron, I was watching that one but didn't bid because I have the 60mm Skylight, great buy well done
  6. Only if it cross threaded I think, but then that would be an added problem! I know the Moonites are collimatable focusers but I don't fancy cross threading the tube to begin with
  7. I see, so the Moonlite flange might not thread all the way down! I'll have to check out Astrotec, I'm in Suffolk
  8. Oh no offence I just wanted to point you towards the proper scope, erm, other scope threads (I'm only jealous because I don't have a Dob )
  9. Hi, Welcome to SGL Nice scope but that ain't no Dob, You'll upset the dob squad, he he There is a SHOW ME YOUR NEWT thread running at the moment started by Laserjock, plus the SHOW ME YOUR FRAC thread started by myself, so it would be good if you could post it on the Newt thread maybe? Welcome aboard! p.s. Almost forgot the SHOW ME YOUR MAK thread!
  10. Hi Mark, wow, I'm sure you've broke some kind of record there Looks good in white too
  11. Erm?? now I'm confused? has your scope been black, blue, silver and white in the space of a week! ?
  12. I think the Silver wrap looks better than the Blue paint
  13. Some proper beasty Maks there! I'm going to look away before I decide I want one
  14. Hi, in which ways would this be better than buying the Moonlite with Moonlite C100ED flange? http://www.firstlightoptics.com/moonlite-focusers/moonlite-cf-crayford-focuser-for-refractors.html Wouldn't you have to drill three holes into the threaded section of the tube with the Agena kit? I know RussWill has recently done similar with his C100ED and TS mono rail.
  15. Very nice matching scopes Skyline. I've only recently got hold of a C100ED myself. I really like it apart from the focuser which jerks when you try and focus, and also makes the image shift left and right! I'm definately going to try and tune it, and if that fails it might be new focuser time. The rest of the scope is worth it.
  16. Well I don't think we should feel too bad for questioning it, they did look like fiction. I'm glad they are fact though, makes the world a more interesting place
  17. I can only imagine the views Very impressive, and not cheap I bet! $ $ I \__/
  18. Crikey, it's real then, in fact there's two of them!
  19. I was wondering about the mount post myself but didn't even notice the tires!
  20. The Ethos is nearly as big as the C5!
  21. You have a gun on your hip for observing!
