small update, spoke to 00 said around another 2 weeks. done loads to the scope, fitted alt bearings and they run lovely, fitted cell all fine, uta pretty much finished, fitted truss clamps to mirror box. then it was stripped for hard laquer, cant show you photos of that because of showing the colour. but heres some with the cell fitted and 1 with a plywood mirror to same size

another small update. focuser board and finder board are finished, ready for anodising with the other parts now, extra holes are milled for weight saving also made the centre shaft for the encoder/ground board, with a custom made shaft to the correct length trial fit of centre bearing, this will be drilled and tapped to the base to give a solid pivot point. bolt is m16

i can adjust the pre load then. rocker box soon

here we go, secondary is done so pick it up asap, primary could be another 10 days due to a few problems they had with there machine so a bit of a back log ground board is finished complete with feet and ptfe friction pads this coated plate will fit on the underside of the rocker box ,which has a recess of 6mm, the thickness of the aluminum plate close up of pads and acetal feet pic of the center bush which will go through the 15mm birch ply

small update/rant/moan. e mailed 00 today ,to ask if i could pick up my secondary tomorrow, they replied just before they shut saying the fella who works on them had to go due to a family emergency . just checked my bank account to see what date i placed my order for my mirror set and its been 9 weeks 4 days or 1584 hours they said 8 - 10 weeks and its still not ready. im not desperate for it but it would be nice to be updated. very poor customer service

just came of the phone to 00 and 2 lots of good news, my secondary should be ready friday providing it tests above 1/10, and my mirror set stays at there old price as it has now gone up in price by just over 1k . how lucky am i

cell is finished yipeee. just need to make 3 spacers in work tomorrow and it can then be striped and all the parts can be sent away for anodizing. to say im happy about the cell is a understatement the motion of the colimation is very smooth and i cant believe how much articulation there is in all planes. as some might know the support triangles and wiffle tree edge supports only hold the mirror flat with equal support to eliminate totally and astigmatism, the cell is totally independant of the frame and it is the cell that moves to colimate . heres some pics of it finished plan view top side bottom side colimation bolts under side, these will be replaced with thumb screws these are the knobs hope you like

spoke to 00 yesterday and asked for a update on my mirror set they said its all milled out (dont know what that means) and its got a red sticker on it which is a great sign dont know what that means either
