  1. How is the SVBony 80ED on the Starsense DX mount? Find the Celestron 102DX OTA is quite shakey at higher magnifications.
  2. As far as I know, it's just HST (which you need to pay anyways) plus a $9.95 brokerage charge from Canada Post. I have one on order now, and shipping is about $20 Cdn.
  3. The StellaLyra 24mm Ultra Flat is only about $160 Cdn, when they back out the tax (VAT). That's about $100 less than local in Canada. Shipping is reasonable too.
  4. Does anyone find the included 3-setting temperature controller seems to cut out after a couple of hours? Can the heater be run continuously without the controller, directly to a 5V USB source?
  5. If you are trying to set up at night, try enabling the "night mode" box at the bottom of the screen.
  6. I have the Skymaster Pro 15x70 and am happy with them. However, I did have to return 3 of them before I finally received a set properly collimated and without an abberration that appears similar to astigmatism on one side or the other. Quality control seems to be poor. Hopefully they stay in collimation because unlike the basic Skymasters, there are no adjustment screws accessible.
  7. I have the StarSense 102Dx and found the first upgrade to make is to replace the cheap Amici prism diagonal with a dielectric star diagonal. This will reduce vignetting and brighten the image. A Barlow and zoom eyepiece will give you an opportunity to experiment before you invest in other eyepieces. I find the SVBony line are decent, low-cost options to start off with. The SVBony Redline 68° 20mm, 15mm, 9mm and 6mm set, along with the Celestron Omni 32mm for a wide field view, have been good for me so far, without breaking the bank.
