So this is what happens ,I turn on eq , the dongle lights up ,then check wife and it goes from obtaining ip address to saved .but no connection on the app (see photos) I have checked with WiFi management app and it shows dongle working then disconnecting ,any ideas ,I even took it to a local field with no internet or WiFi near it ,still would not connect synscanwifi_102(2).pdf
  2. I actually told the guy that if I upgrade and sell the stuff I would only take what I paid for it ,I even asked if he was 100 percent sure . Have promised him that will send the pictures I take and if he wants to restart his journey then he can pay me back the money and can have the stuff back .but I am very happy to keep it

  4. Yeah it is Williams optics 66mm the guy bought it 7 years ago for m an stro club and they had been t for about 5 years ,the eq pro is 3 years old so
  5. Hi all ,got this wee scope and an eq5 pro for £250 ... So it has Barlow's and the 66mm field flattener / reducer 0.8 and a few EPs and Barlow's also has some strange panoramic clamps .. do I need a decent astro camera or will my old 1200d cannon be good enough (I have the t ring for it and Various extension pieces
  6. Hi all ,so been busy buying stuff ,from Eyepiece too another eq5 pro and a wee zenith star 66mm apo. Got my baader zoom ,it's fab ..however the syscan wifi adapter is causing problems. Have managed to get it too work on the 2 eq5 pro ..it simply falls out then refuses too connect and even reset and reinstall the app it can't connect or find WiFi (WiFi on my phone shows me the esp WiFi rather than syscan ,but just doesn't connect ..any ideas .will get some pictures when I get back later

We had an lx200 in our astronomy club.. we had an eq8 if my memory serves me right,the tripod weighted about 30 kg itself and the mount took up too 40 or 50 kg ,think they ended up putting it on a pier in west of Scotland science/Astronomy dept ..the scope itself was fab ,but did need a few shield ..not jealous at all lol
  11. Yeah I agree ,I'm never going to spend 300 hours on Jupiter ,stacking 5 minute images .
  12. Thanks ,I had looked at some of those as well , I come from west coast of Scotland so getting 3 hours of photography,may be impossible lol

  14. Hi guys have the chance of this scope , for a very reasonable £80 in a charity shop ..but would I be able to use it for astro photography on my eq5 pro

  16. There's always local astronomy clubs ,maybe better going with her to their nights ,you may be surprised how generous astronomy people are with their equipment and let new people use them

  18. I had that one last time I did astronomy about 7 years ago ,found it alright but the baader zoom has better reviews,,it is 4 times dearer Tbh lol
  19. Thanks guys ,yeah think the zoom may be the way to go ,to be honest I just love buying stuff ,so just got a 5 mm bst lol .will sit nicely beside the baader zoom
  20. Yeah was looking at bst 5mm and I have a 25mm telvu? Was thinking more of less faffing with a zoom than having to change eye piece ...thanks
  21. Hi ,have Hyperion Eyepiece 10mm and an xcel 18mm and was thinking of getting some bst starguider but would I be better with the baader Hyperion zoom 8to 24 ?
  22. Got a nice eq5 pro and 200p after selling my 5 se .just need clear skies
