What do you plan on using this kit with, do you get filters with the filter wheel, while the price is good, have you added any other extra's, maybe a coma corrector if used with you listed scope, a laptop to process  the data......

I have a laptop, I dont think filters come with it. The plan was to buy the biggest amount money wise now then add to it the smaller value items

Its the best way to go, you can just use the CCD to image while the funds for the other bits come together, if you have a finder scope the Lodestar will fit that, just needs a adapter ring from Modern Astronomy....

Thanks guys that has been a great help and the photo helps me a lot, once again if it wernt for you lot I would be totally lost. * just noticed the lodestar can be either mono or colour Im guessing I stick with mono along with the mono camera? or can you have one mono one colour.

I want the CCD in mono hence the filter wheel its the lodestar im not sure about has it got to be mono or can it be colour? I will prob stick with the mono one just wondered is there a pro/con thing for the guidecam
