Why am i seeing this brown shadow moving from the edge of view towards the centre through any eyepiece with my Skywatcher 200p

Are you using a low power eyepiece.

Its called "kidney beaning". Some eyepieces are more susceptible to it than others.

Is it just a daylight thing that i won't notice at night?

Seems to be there on low and high power eyepieces

Also i was just messing around focussing on the aerial which was less than 100 metres away. Is this effect lessened when focussing on more distant objects?

Scopes are intended to be aimed at object a few hundred lightyears away, the optics will be "wrong" for an aerial on a roof.

If clear try the thing on the moon, that will give a better idea of how well it operates and any problems in or with it.
