2 day old crescent

Evening all,

Saw a lovely crescent moon last night nestled under Venus last night. Not as young as some spotted, but it did look really nice

I captured this mosaic using the DMK21 and C11 combination. This image is made up of 15 or 16 panes, each AVI was around 2500 frames with around 400 used in the stack.

Used the usual Registax 5 for stacking and wavelets. PS for cropping each frame and the final sharpen. Imerge to piece the final image together.

Just as I began to slowly scroll down, there's that first big mare there, and my brain automatically shouted "Death Star!", I guess from all the excitement about the new Star Wars hehe..

Nope, that's just the DMK and C11 at prime focus.

The only Barlow I have is a 2.5 powermate, that would have too much for last night

I meant to do a version with all the craters named, but forgot I my haste to post

The C11 is mounted on a HEQ5, which isn't ideal, but proves that you can out a C11 on a HEQ5 and get something... Although an EQ6 would be better
