Sh2-170 in Ha, WIP

After failing miserably on the Eagle neb last night (it was scraping a neighbours roof and the heat destroyed the seeing just there) I turned my attention to this Sharpless object - Sh2-170 or the Little Rosette. It was clear all night but the transparency was poor, and this being a fairly faint object needing a good stretch during processing resulted in increased background noise. This is 9 x 20min subs in Ha (I lost just one due to satellite trails), and it's still noisy, I'll add more Ha data beofre going for OIII and SII. I can't decide which looks better - full frame or crop, so I posted both :)

Ususal gear: NP127is, Losmandy G11, Atik490EX, Lodestar guider.

Should be clear tonight but I doubt the seeing will improve after another hot day...

Thanks everyone :)

I reprocessed the data to reduce noise and put more emphasis on the nebula. I beilieve it worked but I lost some detail doing this, although I should get that back when I do a final process with all the subs.

Thanks Barry :)

The OIII and SII response was disappointing, I was expecting more. As it was I had to stretch the heck out of the subs to see anything, and the OIII bloated. More exposures isn't going to help me much on this one, I need a camera with big fat pixels to collect more photons! (a scope with a big fat aperture might be nice to go with it...)

Anyway, did the best I can, I composited RGB and HST palettes as shown here.
