Problem with Registax and high res moon images

I selected 6 images of the crescent moon taken a few days ago with my Sony A200 DSLR and 2x Barlow at the prime focus. The images were fine JPG (10mpx). I set Registax to produce a few hundred alignment points. Everything proceeded quite sensibly and with just a few images and align-points, it didn't overload the system. However, the images did not line up! (The image produced by Registax was scaled by 4 to reduce the size and converted to JPEG for attaching)

Might be better just to use say 5 or 8 registration points....see if that works better.
