Power supply for EQ3-2 Duak Axis motors

Just got my Dual axis motors from FLO and was wondering if there is a 6V DC power supply that will do the job without spending a fortune, maybe from Maplin or the like?

Will rechargeable batteries do the trick?

Try this one - there should be a plug to fit among that lot!! And it runs off a 12v battery if you don't have mains available.

Nope... as that's only 4.8v. I've tried... it didn't like it. No one makes a 5 cell battery tray either to make up a 6v NiMh battery.
