Post process of RAW images

Recommended Posts

I acquired my very fist image the other night - nothing fancy, just a wide field images using a piggy backed Canon 350D/80-200 set at 80. Next time will be the Canon at prime focus. But.

I dropped the RAW images into DSS which was fine. The idea then was to export them to Photoshop 5.5/7 which of course did not recognise the format. I can get them translated to jpeg/bmp but that cannot be the way.

So my Q is how are stacked and registered RAW images post processed via older Photoshops or is a question of CS versions (expense for these is enormous.)

aviraw is for converting raw avi's (from something like a modded webcam) to a non raw avi. I don't think you can use it on Canon raw files. Something like ufraw would work, but there should be no need.
