Canon 1000D Live View Mode (Help)

Just a quick question if someone could answer this please.

In live mode you can press the + or - buttons on the right hand side ( AF mode I think ) when trained on the moon if you press the + button you can have x5 or x10 magnification, the moon is magnified on the screen but when you take the picture it's just as if looking with the naked eye ?

What am I doing wrong and have I explained it so you can understand ?

Live view magnification has no affect on the picture size when you take a frame.

Magnifying the moon in live view will not magnify the moon when you take the picture. The x10 in live view is really useful for focusing.

If you want to get right close up then you would attach it to your LX90

The live view zoom works if you record video using a computer and the program eos movie record .

I've been using it on my Evostar 80ED DS-PRO Outfit f/7.5 scope haven't tried it on my LX90 yet
