First attempt at M57

Hi all here is my first attempt at M57 ring nebula , i soon realised that my scope is not great on this type of target due to the size so the images are heavy crops of the original . I used a C80ed on a cg-4 unguided and a canon 1000d , final image was 120 lights @ 30 seconds and 60 darks .

really nice picture.

the very first time i saw M57 was through a Meade ETX 105,as it slewed towards the target and settled into view,i pushed my eye,in the eyepiece and thought"f**king hell" i can actually see it.

Ive only "seen it" by taking short images through my Lumix fz-18 (around 18 x) even then its nothing but a faint smudge,

I got my scope just as M57 was disappearing into the twilight so Il wait for it,

But that's a nice image,
