Now im a noob to astronomy but have seen this on fleabay.

should this be stopped ?

Yes you should be able make out Saturn's rings and Jupiters moons with this scope. However my biggest problem with this whole setup is that it is way, way over priced and hardly suitable for astrophotography.

I very much doubt you'd be able to get images like his examples from that set up.

As for price, well eBay has always been a 'buyer beware' site, anyone who buys that without checking first is asking to be done.
