1.25" Focal reducer for CCD

Im not sure when I should put a Focal Reducer on my QHY6, there is a thread on the camera it would fit onto or I can attach it on the end of the T to 1.25" adapter.

If I attach it to the Camera direct I can still use the t-thread to fit it to my scope using a 2inch adapter.

You usually have to put the CCD a specific distance from the reducer. For mine, it is 55mm.

If it's one of those small ATik type screw in reducers - it's designed to screw into the front of a webcam nosepiece - this positions it about 30mm infront of the chip.

If you can get a similar spacing with the nosepiece/ QHY then it should work.

Looks like i need to check the qhy website.. get lost as its pants and end up emailing them
