Magic shopping list

Astronomy seems to be a hobby with a magic shopping list - as soon as I buy one thing a new item appears on the list! Has anyone beaten the buying bug? I'm not normally like this...

It'll never happen 'til you've got your own Hubble - and then there's always........

Decide what you want to achieve and get/give yourself a budget... then spend "the cloudy months" reading forums and working out all the bits you might want/need. You'll end up with a smaller scope, but be able to do more with it. Better than spending the budget and then realising you forgot something. Of course you have to try to keep to the budget...... spending can be like software "feature creep"..... just one more thing!!!
