Camera on EQ5

Is it possible to mount a Canon 1000d on and EQ5?

I want to start off doing some star trails and taking timed photos of the moon and then stack them on top of each other.

I have bought a copy of "Every Photon Counts" and only flicked though it (looks awsome) so not sure if it is covered in there.

Did you get a dovetail with the mount? If so, it might have a camera threaded hole in the centre which with the right screw would allow you to screw the camera to the dovetail. If not you can either drill a hole in a dovetail, or buy one ready made - something like this (half way down page) Accessories @ Modern Astronomy .
