My HEQ5 is now a HEQ5 Pro Supplied by Steve at Aunty Flo.

Fitted the motors and the bits n bobs last night whilst the sky was crystal clear..Got the scope on the patio, just enough time to align it then the clouds rolled in....

So nice view of M42 and the Severn sisters and some widefield cloud views.

Amazed at how accurate, quiet and easy to use it is.

So sorry folks I've jinxed it, looks like it'll be cloudy for the next few weeks.

I can see one of these HEQ5's in my future. The EQ6 is just too heavy for me and the CG5 is too NOISY!

I had the standard HEQ5 which is motorised and for my birthday the wife bought me the "Skyscan" Upgrade which turns into Computerised, motorised GOTO.

When I get a clear night i'll do a full report in the equipment section.
