Aurora from Kelso Racecourse 10th/11th March

This image from last night & into this morning of the current auroral activity taken from Kelso Racecourse, Scottish Borders.

Kelso, 55.6030°N, 2.4370°W

The going was good with long clear spells but a bright crescent Moon and showers of sleet.

Bookies favourite was Jen...one wet & thoroughly soggy bearded border collie that just wanted to go home to the finishing line, in the end the collie won with owner coming in close second across the threshold.

Yes the weather was certainly hit or miss last night, seemed worse the further NW you went on the weather map.
