1st M42 2nd go with dslr

If I can post it! Im quite pleased with this I had to edit in canon photo profesional as I did it all wrong for DSS

So if I get say 30 180 second sub with ISO 800. Then how many do I have to do with the lens cap on? Thanks for any advice.

you mean darks and flats?

Well, ideally as many as your light frames, but normally 20-25 of each are plenty to give an averge master dark and flat and won't really change much either you have 30 or 100 light frames i think.

Btw, it looks quiet good indeed. But what problems did you have in DSS? No colour, didn't stack the frames, too bright, too dark?
